The entry fee is R350 per car/driver combination, which includes the driver and TWO crew members (subject to prevailing Covid-19 Regulations). Cars must pass a vehicle safety check and all drivers and passengers must wear long sleeves, long trousers, closed shoes and a crash helmet.

Due to the huge success of the December 2021 event, Western Province Motor Club have allocated 8 event days for RallyCross Cape Town in 2022. We have got the western side of the facility all to ourselves to compete on the part tar, part gravel World Rallycross circuit.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all entries and documentation must be submitted in advance. Please submit your entry to   Terri Philander at terri@wpmc.co.za by no later than 12:00 noon on Tuesday 22 February 2022.

Strict health and safety protocols among competitors, crews, officials and spectators will be observed, including temperature screening of all persons entering the facility. We remind everybody attending this event to Mask Up, Wash Up and Back Up – wear your mask over your nose and mouth at all times, wash or sanitise your hands as often as possible and maintain social distancing of at least 1.5 metres between persons.

More information from Terri Philander at terri@wpmc.co.za or contact section chairman Steve Humble at 076 631 8275.

CLASSES

killarney-wpmc-logo.png

These include the four-cylinder class, limited to two litres in capacity and a maximum output of 130kW, the six-cylinder class, limited to 168kW, while the BMWs of the E36 Cup have their own class. Cars with more power and turbocharged cars fall into the open category, where almost anything goes!

The event is also open to Rallysprint cars, and the organisers have even promised a class for road cars if they get at least six entries.

If you don't want to tackle the infamous jump, the organisers are willing to run tarmac-only sessions using the section from Turn 2 to Interceptor Corner without the dirt diversion and the section through the short-circuit cutover that usually forms the Joker Lap.
